There are so many diverse types of plus size sleepwear available now, for you to choose from. Just a few years ago, you would not have had nearly the choices that you have now. Pajamas used to refer mainly to lightweight and loose trousers with drawstrings that were originally worn in West and South Asia.
The negligee used to mean neglected or careless, in French. The word ended up describing an informal type of gown made of a sheer, soft fabric, that women wore at home. When plus size women used to wear corsets, they would give themselves a break in the afternoon, and slip into a negligee. Then, the gown developed into the loose, sheer dressing gown or night gown. You can find these types of sleepwear and many others, in plus sizes now.
